Should I keep playing soccer?

I love the sport, I play and watch it. I'm insanely good, I know scoring goals isn't everything and it doesn't really mean you're good, but I've played 9 games so far and in those 9 games I've scored 19 goals including 2 free-kicks. At the end of games just about when I'm heading over with my team, the Referees always yell out "Hey number 10 come here" and compliment me with things like: "Hey man that was a nice juke you did back there" or "Hey that was a nice free-kick you scored" or "How many goals have you scored for your high school?" or anything like that. My friends call me a free kick specialist because I have a nice, powerful, accurate shot. I am like a master at juggling. I have alot of speed and endurance. The question is: Should I keep playing soccer even though I know I wont become Professional? I play it alot and feel I am just wasting my life... By the way, I'm 14 years old. When the Referees ask me "How many goals have you scored for your high school?" I say "I don't play for my high school..." and the Referees just stand there with a face saying "That is very, very odd." By the way I'm a Freshman and I don't play for my high school because I chose not to be. I don't know if I will go Professional, but I just say I wont because I think it is very hard. Hey thanks to the first 3 answers, I mean I just think there is no point of playing soccer if you don't become Professional, that is where the "wasting my life" part came with. 1. You should do what YOU want. If you play soccer don't do it b/c you think it's going to be your future job. Do it b/c it's fun. Just make sure you try hard at school though b/c that's always a good backup plan no matter what you decide to do.

Well i don't play soccer just to be a professional, i Just play because it is in my blood, If your really passionate about soccer keep going but if you feel like your just waisting your life don't play anymore.I think you should keep going because your gonna be bored without it, and if your gonna keep playing soccer don't be cocky about your talent that will ruin you.

5. Im good at soccer also. People always ask me why didn't I try out for the team. I play the sport for fun and just to hang out with friends. But being on a soccer team is a big part because you have to come to practice all the time. Also coaches will give you responsibility and discipline. So if you want to become pro, think about it. But, if you really love the sport, think about a scholarship. Don't think of any sport a waste of time. Some sports are fun, I mean most of the sports are fun.
6. if u want to a pro, u HAVE to play for your school team. To be a professional, u need to 'advertise' your skill in as many ways as possible
7. do what you want. Going professional isn't as hard as you think if you keep practicing the way you do. The only reason i wouldn't go professional is because here in America you don't get paid anything. And if you don't think your good enough spend like you junior year in Spain or Germany to learn a new language and play soccer there.
8. look man don't take this the wrong way but i think this is a stupid question. If you like playing soccer then keep playing, and if you don't then stop. there are thousands of kids that play soccer that will never become pro. they just play because they like the sport.
9. IF YOU REALLY ENJOY PLAYING FOOTBALL, CARRY ON. ONCE THE FUN IS GONE, THEN YOU SHOULD CONSIDER VENTURING ON TO OTHER THINGS.
