Fifa 08 running extremely slow - Please HELP!!!? hi all, i have fifa 08. i have been playing it since it came out and it was working perfectly at first. But until about the last 1 month or so the game speed in the matches sometimes just slows down in the middle of the match or even at the beginning. When this happens i try to reboot the pc. Sometimes it becomes better for about half the match and then goes slow again. It is very rare that the whole match is played at the right game speed. I have ran many different virus scans thinking that it might be a virus doing this but my pc is virus free, i hae reinstalled my graphic card drivers and i have changed the resolution of my 17" LCD monitor to 1024x786 and also Fifa 08 game resolution to 1024x786 but it still doesnt make a difference. Please can someone give me any advice on why it is running slow and how i may beable to fix this very annoying problem. How come a non-footballing nation like USA qualify for World Cup and the Fifa doesnt do anything about it? USA is taking advantage of FIFA's regulations for Qualification into the World Cup. USA plays against countries like Trinidad-Tobago, Guatamela, Jamaica, Coasta Rica, Panama for the world cup qualifying rounds!!! Any country can play against these islands and can qualify. In fact, the most disgraceful thing is all of these countries except for Guatemala played in this world cup whereas none of these countries/islands deserve to be in the WC which is the place only for the best teams in the world. In Europe and South America, there are countries that are far better than USA and can beat USA by 10-nil but unfortunately, they don’t get the chance to qualify. The same thing goes for Africa as well. Nigeria and Cameroon could not qualify for 2006 because they didn’t come in the top four which again shows the depth of strong footballing nations there are in Africa. And most of these African nations are 100 times better than US Team. If USA was to put in World Cup qualifying games against European countries or African countries, they never would have made it to the world cup. I think FIFA needs to look into this issue so that only the better footballing nations qualify into the World Cup. If FIFA does not look into this matter, it will be gross injustice to European, African, South American and Asian countries that have produced great players over the years and have shown real passion for football. About Vista physical memory? yesterday i was playing Fifa 08 then suddenly something went wrong with video drive. I tried system restore to a previous store point, and the video problem seems disappeared. Then i tried running a software but its not working. I tried reinstall it/run as administrator but none of them worked. So i opened my task manager, find out that i only have 15mb free physical memory (total 2037 cached 15). Sometimes it even reached 0. I have a xp desktop. Its total physical memory is 512, 2214 avaiable, 122 cached. Is this normal? i can still play games and stuff but it just does not seem to be normal

FIFA 08 how to control another player while in a set piece? Playing online my opponent had a corner kick and I saw that he was able to control another player (not the kick taker) while setting up for his corner, making that player run towards he goal. Then during a free kick the same thing happened. If anybody knows pls let me know (ps3 version) Also how do u do a bycicle kick in this game????

FIFA Manager 07!HELP please....? after finishing the installation of the game, i tried to run the game but there's an error message. The message said please free 768mb of free swap file space. I duno wat's wrong!i have more than enuf space on my comp and i've copied the crack onto the exe. bt i still can't play the game!!!can someone please help me and state the solution in details...thanks in advance I still can't play the game!!! i set the virtual memory to system managed but it still show the error msg when i try to launch the game...can ANYONE HELP ME????

What were the voters thinking by giving Zidane the Golden Ball? Should FIFA step in? - Zidane played terrible the first two games, and was invisible. - He gets an accumulated red card and missed the next. - He scores a free goal at the end of the game against Spain...When Spain was pressing to level the game. - He finally has a good showing against Brazil. - Then he back tracks against Portugal and almost disappears. But, oh wait he scores a PK...big deal. - And, finally against Italy he does more running than anything else and finally decides he is too classy for the game and bows out with a red. That is after scoring another PK for a bullshit call...again big deal. So, just to summarize. The man got two red cards. Played well in maybe 1.5 games of the tournament. And, scored 3 free goals. What is the big deal?? In this case Ronaldo was a better choice. THis has become a joke when the best defender and captain of the world cup comes in second. A man that is barely 5'9 165lbs could stop forwards twice his size 4 every min of the tourni with class. For those of you that are thick headed..I am not a fan of Ronaldo either. I was just saying that even Ronaldo, who did nothing but gain weight and score a few goals, would have been a better choice. I was being sarcastic...Cannavaro was the MVP, Golden Ball, etc. of this tournament for me and millions of people world wide....but not those 2012 Zidane voters (or however many it was)

Who else thinks the consolation game between italy and portugal will be the most disgraceful match...? in the history of the FIFA World Cup? I envision endless theatrical dives; effeminate "athletes" writhing on the pitch every time an opponent breathes on them; limp-wristed, bitch-slapping free-for-alls; and ultimately a massive orgy that will force the cancellation of the match on moral grounds. Meanwhile, Brazil and Germany will play for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. I know which match I'll be watching -- and which one I will assuredly NOT.

Fifa or Pro evolution player mode? I think Fifa 08 or Pro Evolution 7 should have a player mode like the one in madden 07, where you can either play for a top teams reserves team and work your way through to the top team, start in the lower leagues or just start in the first team of a top team and prove yourself in training. Details of transfer fees, your wages and agent should be part of the game. Reaction to the managers team talks, signings and stories in the media will not only decide if fans like you but also the manager and the rest of the players. International football is also possible (if your good enough) Maybe as a sub game, you can decide weather to go out or stay in and rest. This may however result in your manager reading stories about you, he won't like. Also I think you should be able to turn arrows on and off for free kicks and corners. Just a thought, maybe you should be able to run around the pitch and depending on your position on the pitch, team mates will decide weather to pass to you or not. I don't know how goal keepers could be played but thats for the companies to decide. lol

Wii or Ps3 ? I got a PS3 and I was wondering if I should take it with me in Egypt or buy a Wii . If i take my Ps3 , I will buy 2 games, 1 controller and 2 movies . If I buy a Wii , i will only buy 1 game witch is Wii play because it comes with a free WiiMote . I like the Wii because is fun and everyone can play, and I also like my PS3 because its great and powerful and I really want to play FIFA 08 with my cousin . Please help :S

I want to meet Cristiano Ronaldo? Ok, here's the deal. I'm going to a game this fall where C. Ronaldo plays (FIFA world cup 2010 qualification) and I would really want to meet him (who doesn't? *drooling*). So I just wonder how this could happen, I got two different options that I believe could work (feel free to come with your own suggestions): 1. Hunt him down at the airport. The problem is that you really have no idea when or where they'll show up. 2. Wait outside the field the whole day before the game and after too. They'll come with their bus I presume, so this should work right? You might call me pathetic, but it's the chance of a lifetime :) Anyone who has tried anything or has any suggestions? By the way... I should define "meet" a bit better: I meant getting an autograph and a photo with him, it's not like I wanna interact with him any further. Well, I want to, but I know that's pretty much impossible. RAM speed problem? I have a PC running win XP with a "Pentium 4" 2.4Ghz processor, a GeForce FX 5200 VGA card and 2 DDR1 rams 256MBs each. The problem is, even though this is OK with most 3D games' system requirements, it appears that because of Windows' XP's bad optimization of the ram, any used memory is not immediately freed and causes the games to be slow. Games like FIFA 2007, Splinter Cell: Pandora tomorrow, Civilization IV and Sam and Max: Season 1 work smoothly for 2 seconds, than slow down for one second. It makes the player appear to walk and stop, walk and stop(STUTTER).Loading times for any new game, save game or new scene are horrible. Virtual memory is slower than RAM so it's not helping at all, even though I have allocated 3GBs of it. I want to know about a good RAM optimizer program that would free or defrag ram without the 5 minute wait, I mean, on the spot freeing, while I'm playing. Also is having 2 separate rams better or one whole 512MB ram better? I don't have dual channel anyways! I have 128mb in the FX5200 The games usally don't require more Both RAMs have the same speed or this bus thing I know about it and both are 256mb, which I added at the same time. If i don't make the page file large, windows would hang In the middle of my gameplay and keep saying that it's working on expanding it. I think leaving it THAt expanded shut it up. I can't afford to get new rams, and I know that 512 is pretty sufficient if there was a program to organise the memory cuz thememory isn't freed even after an application is closed The card's always bin ok and the new problem all points to ram seeing my commit charge in task manager

How do I make my PC run Fifa Manager 08 faster? I do not know very much about computers my laptop is about three years old and I am just trying to have some fun and play. Everytime I play it is very very slow and takes about a minute to load each page. I am fine with getting a graphics card that costs less then 30-40 dollars. Do i need a special card for my specific computer. I am guessing this game doesnt have to many requirements but im not sure. I fany one knows the type of card I need could you please give me the number of whatever the system of measurment is for gaming cards. The whole game they were swearing and abusing the players, the Turksjust played the game. The 2nd game in Turkey... The whole game they were still swearing at the Turks, and were pulling at their shirts punching them on corners and free- kicks, angering them on purpose, with the support of their 12th man... the referee... And what happened at the end of the game was nothing unexpected. Another example of dirty Swiss play, is the South- Korea game... The 1st goal was a good goal, what happened in the split- second after the goal... a headbutt by the goalscorer, accident or purpose? The 2nd goal was offside, the Koreans should of had 2 penalties, the referee slowed Koreas game down by giving bad- timed fouls instead of letting it go to advantage, the ref was not born in Swiss but lived in Swiss most of his life, and has Swiss Citizenship (dual) SEPP BLATTER, FIFA PRESIDENT IS SWISS.

I dont really play online a lot because i dont have any games, i wanna buy fifa 07. Should I buy a 3 month gold subscription a 12 month gold subscription or none of them and buy a game?
